Kelly Welker oversees Renaissance Wealth Management Group of Texas and is a financial advisor with LPL Financial. With nearly two decades of experience, she specializes in retirement planning strategies, assisting individuals, couples, and families as they prepare for this major transition in life. Focusing on strategies that can create a consistent stream of income, her goal is to help clients feel confident in their financial future. 

Kelly first started in the industry as a retirement corrections specialist with American Funds. Following, she worked as an advisor with Edward Jones and a Branch Manager with Raymond James before becoming an independent advisor.

Kelly holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 51, and 63 held through LPL Financial.. She is a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) and received the Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional designation from the FINRA Institute at the prestigious Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Kelly holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University.

Kelly is a past member of The Financial Services Institute, which actively lobbies Congress on behalf of independent advisors and their clients. She has regularly participated in Investment Policy Day on Capitol Hill where she spent time speaking with congressmen and senators about upcoming regulatory issues that have negative unintended consequences for her clients. Additionally, she recently completed a three-year term as an elected member to the District 6 Committee for Texas for FINRA, and has served on several disciplinary hearing panels for FINRA.

Beyond the financial services industry, Kelly is actively involved in her Texas community. She has been a past San Antonio Woman to Watch nominee, as well as the recipient of the 2003 San Antonio Business Woman of the Year award*. She has been involved in several organizations, including the Bexar County Child Welfare Board, the Emergency Services District Board of Bexar County, and the Alamo Area Parkinson’s Support Group (where she previously served on the Advisory Board of Directors).

In her spare time, Kelly has a passion for scuba diving. She enjoys attending football games at The University of Texas at Austin, where she and her husband both attended college. Kelly loves traveling and has visited countries around the globe with her husband, who spent ten years in the United States Marine Corp as an Officer before returning to Texas to live and raise their family.
